A Prayer for Peace in Israel

As I see the terror from this side of the world,

As the pictures of humanity being marginalized flash in the media,

My heart and soul weep the tears of helplessness and plight.

I feel exposed,

I feel touched.

Every inch of my skin burns.

It burns on just the thought of women being dragged alive yet dead.

I feel the earth below me drift.

She drifts.

She drifts because the flowers are wilting- her children are crying.

They are crying and consoling their parents. They see their mothers breathing but their souls dead and cold.

My pride cries.

It cries for the men.

For the men whose hands have been folded but eyes wide open.

Eyes wide open and filled. Filled with pain.

Filled with the pain of being unable to defend their land.

Filled with the pain of being unable to stop.

To stop the beasts from touching the womb that birthed them.

To stop the beasts from touching those whom they promised safety.

To stop the beasts from ripping their souls apart.

I see their eyes.

I see their tears.

I see their fear.

I feel their fear and yet I am here.

And yet I am here, at the other end of the world, helpless and in tears.

Sending my prayers for the women in Israel and all those affected by the beasts who think they have the right to play God, to play nature. I pray to god to not turn his back on his children and not let their cries for help go in vain.

Using religion to commit such a crime is abhorrent
